Specifically, the Z-Axis no longer moves down (the X and Y axis seems to be fine). Not only will it not Auto-home, but going to "Move axis" in the Prepare menu will also not move the Z-Axis down. I have attached a video I found on YouTube that showcases basically the exact same problem I am having. 18K views 1 year ago. Ran into a problem on my Ender 3 V2 with the Z axis not moving down when doing an Auto Home. After some research and testing found that a wire had broken in the ribbon cable
3 - Adjust the Z-axis limiter switch. On your Ender 3, Ender 3 V2, and Ender 3 Pro, you'll see two M5 bolts with two M5 t-nuts. Carefully loosen each bolt just enough to slide the Z-axis limiter up or down the 2040 aluminum frame. You'll likely only need to move the Z-axis limiter switch up 1 or 2 mm to correct your issue.

Auto-home is on the right front moving away from the end stop. I did reverse the wiring of the X axis motor, it did not work. I had Marlin 2.x uploaded, it didn't work too. Marlin 2.x:
A faulty microswitch stopped my brand new ender 3d printer from working properly. I could have got a new switch, but the fix was quick and easy. The z axis
In the case of only the Z-axis of your Ender 3 failing to home, we can immediately tell that the Z-axis endstop is the culprit, meaning that either there are problems with its wiring (especially likely if you have been working on your Ender 3 lately) or the endstop switch is not functional anymore. be able to measure the Z axis to finish homing, in other words, after checking the x y axis, the Z axis goes up a little, bltouch test rod lowers, Z axis goes down until it touches the table, bl touch detects the contact, Z axis goes up a little, Z axis goes down a little, BL touch detects the touch again, and ends homing 3.1.3. It does not move at all on the Z-axis and remains 3 - 4" above the bed during and after Auto Homing. I am also assuming the z-axis is supposed to be able to move down after homing, as the instruction for setting up the CRTouch specifically says to home the head, then to find the z-offset by lowering the z-axis. .
